I grew up writing short stories and playing the drums, and looking back, those passions have informed the way I create my work. In high school, I shot and edited my first documentary with the family camcorder, and winning the “Best Student Documentary” Philo T. Farnsworth Award (inventor of the television) made an early impression on me. I instantly felt there was something fascinating about the rhythm of an edit, the way you get goosebumps when it’s working just right, and how it’s really about conjuring an emotional response. I studied Electronic Media Production at Kent State University and have been in the industry ever since.

Nearly 20 years later, I’m grateful for all the incredible projects I've been a part of, reaching #5 on Amazon Prime, being a part of Emmy-winning teams, and continuing to tell the stories that matter most.

I'm most passionate about stories that make change, projects that have a bigger purpose. Work that supports the arts, that empowers the next generation, and that leaves the world a little bit better off.

When I'm not editing at home next to my grey cat McHeathridge, I'm out taking in the waterfront views at Lakewood Park, kayaking, camping, making pottery, or traveling (usually to video game music conventions across the country!)
